Lead Generation

Lead generation is an old method of gaining new business, but now it has a new approach. The old method involved sitting at a trade show table for hours on end or sitting at a display in hopes that targeted consumers would complete a form. Now, however, leads can be generated and sent to your office through the technology and advances of the internet.

There are agencies that are devoted to providing quality leads to businesses. An agency will develop a website or partnership with several websites in which they promote and advertise a product or service. A consumer will then find the service directory or informational site and complete an online request form. This form is then submitted to the lead generation agency. The potential customer’s information is verified, and the leads are then sent via email to the prospective providers with full contact information included.

This method of lead generation is win-win. The customer wins because he or she is able to request information from several businesses that offer the product or service that he or she needs. The seller wins because he or she is able to pitch his/her product or service to someone who has given permission and already expressed some level of interest.

Conversion rates on leads that are generated frequently have a higher conversion rate than cold calls. This is because the prospect is qualified before the lead is ever received.
